Hello Everybody!! Hope everyone is enjoying life as much as we are....sure we have our own stuff going on but through it all, we must be the best of ourselves.
Anyhooo.... today's post is about a lip scrub that I live by. The mere simplicity in the making and application of it makes it so awesome that off late I try and do it before I apply any lip makeup. It is made of the two most simplest ingredients easily available in our kitchens - sugar and the mighty olive oil.
To make it, all you have to do is, mix sugar & olive oil in the ratio of 3:1. Always remember that the amount of sugar should be more than olive oil and the end product should look like a good scrub. For some fragrance and extra smoothness you can add a couple of drops of vanilla essence. And it is best if you use coarse white sugar and not the fine white sugar.
Just apply generous amounts of your homemade scrub on your lips. Massage your lips gently for a good 5-10 minutes making sure you are scrubbing with sugar and not just olive oil. After scrubbing keep it on for another 5-10 minutes. Then gently wipe off all the sugar crystals but let the olive oil remain on your lips. Now you can proceed normally with applying your favourite lipstick.
All that scrubbing with the sugar crystals is gonna activate the circulation of your blood in the lips and give them an instant rush of blood and that is why they plump up and get a good rosy color. All natural and beautiful. No need of those harsh lip plumpers loaded with harmful chemicals. And the massaging with the olive oil makes your lip soft supple and extra moist. So there you go.
